Bill's Hot Rod 1400 Series Alternator Bracket

These high side mount alternator and a/c brackets are designed for the Small Block Chevy using late style heads (1970 & Later). They position the alternator and a/c units over the exhaust manifold and just to the outside edge of the valve covers, which allows for a lower profile look. Most intake manifold combinations will work with these brackets. These brackets work in conjunction with the 1500 series power steering bracket to provide more clearance between the power steering pump and the steering box. These brackets work great in Chevelles and Camaros.

The brackets mount using only the existing factory drilled holes found on the front face of the heads, therefore no drilling of tapping is required.

Brackets are available for short water pump applications only.

The alternator used is a GM and the a/c compressor is a Sanden SD-508. Stock steel or aluminum aftermarket pulleys can be used with these brackets.

For strength and durability, these brackets are made of 1/4" mild steel plate, finished off in your choice of black powdercoat or chrome plating.

Each 1400 Series bracket comes completely assembled, with an adjusting arm, all the necessary stainless steel washers and allen head bolts, an illustrated instruction sheet, belt size recommendations and adjusting tips for an easy installation.
